Today Ming and I went skiing at Talisman.

Here's the day in point form.

  • We were going to take Ming's car (he has racks) but his windshield wiper broke while he was cleaning it this morning.
  • While loading my car Kristy lost Ming's keys in the fresh snow so we spent a long time looking for them. (They were found later in the day).
  • The drive took about 1.5 hrs.
  • They received 15cm of snow overnight. There was no wind so the temperature was fine.
  • There was no one there the whole day. We never had to wait in line.
  • Sadly, the mountain is not steep. It makes a great beginner hill but unlike Blue Mountain there are no good bits for more advanced skiers. I wouldn't go back for this reason.
  • To mix things up Ming and I switched equipment. Snowboarding is fun. I think I'd like to spend 20% of my time boarding.
  • Ming got us lost on the way home. It took us way too long to get home.
