Lots of interesting articles in the Globe and Mail today. Here are a sampling:

  • Farmed salmon are laced with toxins, study finds:
Salmon from Toronto supermarkets were so contaminated they shouldn't be eaten more than once every two months
  • Agency seizes 2,200 photocopied textbooks:
The Canadian copyright licensing agency, seized more than 2,200 photocopied university textbooks from a Montreal shop near Concordia University.
  • Students lose control of funding at York
Students at York University are upset that the school's government has lost control of its funding because of a political struggle between Arab and Jewish candidates.
  • Primus service nips at telcos' heels with VOIP (it's about time this came to Canada!):
Unlimited long distance is available for $20 a month, meaning that when combined with Primus Canada's basic service, unlimited local and long-distance calling costs only $40 a month.
