The site is good to go!

So if anyone wants to be the first person to write a music review for our new site email me right now.

Update: Cancel that. I posted a lame review of REM's Reveal and ended up breaking everything. Grrrr.

Anyone have the complete Vanilla Sky Soundtrack?

And I must say that I'm very proud of myself for noticing during the movie that one of the songs was Sigur Ros (when we saw Sigur Ros by mistake).

Tracy saw Vanilla Sky too.

Like her it wasn't what I was expecting. Today I even went back and watched the trailer again to make sure it really wasn't what I was expecting; and it wasn't. I won't say it's bad, because it wasn't. And I won't say that I liked it because I didn't. But I did enjoy it, if it's possible to enjoy and not like at the same time. Why didn't I like it? About a third of the way through the movie gets weird (no I won't ruin it for you) and I could deal with a little weirdness, after all I've seen Memento but towards the end you find out why it was weird and I didn't like the reason. I think I'm just uncomfortable with the whole subject matter they discussed at the end. I realize that it's a little far out but not too far out but it's just too freaky for me. It's something I really don't want to think about. So I'm trying not to.

My personal favorite part of the movie (and it's in the trailer too) is when the secretary tells Tom Cruise as he's rushing by 'Courtney Love called to see if you got her email'. See Courtney emailed me once too :). (Matt you're so shallow (I know)).

If they had been selling the soundtrack outside after the show I would have bought. If they sold it online I would buy it too. Ah.. So many lost sales!

Doc is pushing back about KenRadio who was in J.D.'s Independents Day article.

Doc isn't the only who has a beef with KenRadio. For a while he was a Pho member and signed a bunch of us up (the list has ~800 subscribers) without permission to his newsletter. Thanks, but no thanks, I get enough spam as it is.

Confession time

I've never owned a pair of jeans (except for maybe one pair in grade 4). Recently on a shopping excursion, which has yet to be blogged (but will be), I was helped with the purchase of a pair of jean-like cords and I must say that I enjoy them *A LOT*. I sense that a revolution may be coming and my fear of all things denim with funny front pockets will come to an end. Yes, that's right, I'm thinking of throwing opening the closet doors and welcoming jeans into my life.
