Okay I switched to commenting on each post instead of each day. But the number of comments disappeared.. Hmm. I'll fix that tomorrow. Must sleep. Deer in the headlights is how John describes 207's late night tv phenomenon. Microsoft Technical Support vs. The Psychic Friends Network. This came up while we were studying and wondering what was going to be on our exam. What better than to ask a psychic? According to a post on uw.general mirrored on UW Student Mark is not the first Rhodes Scholar but the second. Ah well, we're still proud of him (and I think we broke the whole story before anyone else.. ?). Jackie still loves me :). Which reminds me that John and I got together with Mr.Hummlet when he was in Toronto a few weekends ago and he invited us all over to his place for a get together or maybe he wanted us to invite him to one of our get togethers? I can't remember.. But we should get together with him.
Also, someone should plan a 5 year celebration? for this spring. I am NOT volunteering :). Yet another war on terrorism: 'A war of terrorism has been "imposed" upon Israel, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon said Monday after a weekend of suicide attacks in Haifa, and it will continue until it is won by the Israeli people.'
John the architect behind Picolo Hotel's booking system and the tech genius behind the marvel that was Fairtunes is looking for a job.
Here is John's resume. He has solid experience with all the buzzwords: XML-RPC, Soap, J2EE, COM+, RDMS,... Picolo Hotel is the work of John, Jen, Natalie, Kevin and Angie and for only $25k it's yours! It fully incorporates all of the latest buzzwords (XML-RPC, 3-tier architecture (multiple C and Java clients, C++ middle tier, RDBMS back-end),J2EE,...). So if you have a Hotel in need of a booking system give them a call. Jen: What's the URL for the team photos? And what's your current email address?
Note: It's also the project that ruined my fall (more on that later). UW Student now has a story up on Mark.
(See Mark I do post about you occasionally :) ). The Bulletin does indeed confirm that Mark is UW's first Rhodes Scholar.
