I'm flying tomorrow to the States which of course gets one thinking.
- First I should say that I'm not ever going to let terrorists terrorize me. I read last Saturday in both our national papers about all these people who had cancelled vacations and who would never fly again. Sorry, that's not for me. Even with a few mishaps, air travel is still safer than the drive to the airport.
- Secondly, while being a non-violent person I would still not sit back while some crazy tried to kill (so Matt, you're non-violent except when violent? Yeah, something like that).
Worth Repeating: 'Sometimes a potential hijacker will announce that he has a bomb. There are no bombs on this aircraft and if someone were to get up and make that claim, don't believe him. If someone were to stand up, brandish something such as a plastic knife and say, 'This is a hijacking' or words to that effect, here is what you should do...' A pilot addressing his passengers last weekend.
