I am home.

My flight has been delayed 2 hours. I got here at 8am. I'm now scheduled to depart at 2pm and all I want is some fucking Internet!

And why does the sun only come out on either the last run of the day or the day you're set to leave?

Overall Sunshine got 55cm of snow while we were in town!

We spent the last day skiing at Lake Louise which received only 5 cm of snow overnight compared to Sunshine's 15cm but we needed some variety. Unfortunately though it was really cold; -20C! The morning was not enjoyable but after a buffet lunch (at only $12 it is a real bargain compared to the usual $10 burger combo) the temperature improved to around -13C. Still cold, but not miserably so. This morning when we left Banff at 6:30 it was -30C..

Do we live in the dark ages still? How hard should it be to find an Internet connection?

I'm at the Calgary airport and I want to hook up my notebook to the Internet. Sure there are a couple Telus Internet kiosks but to me they are useless. There's also a Mailboxes Etc. but you can't hook up your notebook there. But I did take advantage of their $10/hr Internet to find out that there is a wireless Internet node as part of Bell's pilot program in one of Air Canada's Maple Leaf Lounges. Since there are 3 such lounges, all behind various security checks, I thought I'd go to information and ask which one it's in, but surprise, information knows nothing about wireless Internet. So they call the duty manager or something who also knokws nothing about any wireless Internet. They tell me at one point they had desks with Internet that you could use your notebook at but that they're gone now.

Bah.

(The situation was no better at Pearson.. )
