Feds (finally) updated the Bar Take Over page. Thanks!

And if you scroll down to 'Campus Blog' you'll find links back to here.

A recap of some of the more interesting things that have been posted here lately:

Post new comments here because I'm tired of checking old threads to find I missed out on some juicey comments (I know the comment system could and should be better).

Two weeks ago I took $40 out of a non-Royal Bank ATM and it cost me $3.

I went to the Math election forum today.

  • It was my second time *ever* in the 'comfy lounge' (I don't think I fit in there)
  • BLAND. Everyone was agreeing with everyone. Bah.
  • Both Natalie and Ben, two intelligent people, left half way through because they found it boring
  • Way too much time was spent by Mathsoc groupies asking soft questions to the VPI candidates. Maybe, I discount the position too much but I would have preferred more hard hitting questions aimed at the 'more important' positions. (Though of course they should be rightly concerned about the funding for their clubby organizations.)
  • Maybe instead of having 'all candidate' forums the forums could be broken up so that those interested in VPI issues could attend the VPI one, etc.
  • It also would be nice if forums didn't interfere with classes..
  • Aaron Lee-Wudrick should have run for president
  • None of the presidents really stand out as leaders. Yes, I think a few of them could get the job done but for such a visible position we need someone who can command.
  • I wish I didn't have to choose between Liam and Aaron because I'd like to see both of them elected.
  • It was suggested by both Aaron and Liam that since co-op is failing for so many students that we should scale back the number of students that faculties are admitting to co-op. I think this is a very interesting suggestion.
  • I know some people had school commitments but if I were running and I really wanted a position I would have either received permission to defer my exams and assignments for the two week campaigning period or I would have chosen courses at the beginning of term that didn't conflict.
  • Andrew said he did have experience running a large company so then why is that omitted from his profile?

It is my blog's second anniversary.

Thanks all for reading.

(I don't know if you guys ever notice my title but I randomly change it based on emails received in connection with my blog. Previously it was 'Not your parents' weblog' after someone got in trouble from a parent after linking to my weblog. I've now changed it to 'All opinion. No fact.' because appearantly news stories have to be balanced. Who knew?)
