So Natalie wrote a cheque and she didn't have enough funds to cover it (because all her money is in GICs earning 0.001%) so I wrote her a cheque (for $75) so she could cover her cheque till her paycheque came in the next day but my cheque bounced which will probably cause her cheque to bounce. I think this just might cost us $75 ($25*3) in bank fees. All because I hold all my money in US funds and don't have over draft protection on my new Canadian dollar account because it's so much bloody work to apply for credit. Ugh.

There's been some additions (and I moved it into Radio) to the Larry Smith Lingo page (thanks Lorne) and I put some (note: not all) pictures from the weekend online plus a few from one night at the Bomber.

For the out-of-towners. From the Imprint (which is sporting a nice new look) Business down at Pho Maxim (about 80%) since they got fined for health code violations (I can't find the original article on the violations).

Showtimeonline.com sucks:
We at Showtime Online express our apologies; however, these pages are intended for access only from within the United States.
WTF!? Time for a little Peek-A-Booty action (heheh I was actually trying to get to the Queer as Folk page at Showtime (too bad PaB isn't ready yet)). And funny Google doesn't discriminate and neither does the Wayback.

Matt's first tip to growing your web traffic: Let visitors who want to view your site, view it!

Same thing goes for those lame-ass music services which require credit card authentication to verify you're American. Don't bitch when you can't get enough subscribers because we tried to sign up for 'legal listening' but you wouldn't let us.

Anyhow, I want a QAF poster if anyone knows where I can order one. (eBay has some but they ain't cheap! (they ain't small either)).

Where do you find your new music?

  • Art of the Mix: Natalie posted Maeve's Don't Diet Riot here. AoftheM is similar to the slicker Uplister but Uplister's slickness came at an expense and they're now Fucked.
  • Mix Matcher: They suggest a theme you suggest the music. This coming week the theme is 'Places in Canada'. I suggested Bobcaygeon by the Hip. (MixMatch is also hotlinking album covers from Amazon.. Is that illegal?)
  • Please add to this list in the comments

'The same Star Wars technology that the U.S. military developed as a defense system against missiles is now helping Canadians in their battle against pesky wildlife.' from Wired.com article The Bullwinkle Defense System.

I've had the fortune of never hitting a deer but I know many who haven't been so lucky. And I guess if this technology actually rolls out we'll have at least one thing to thank Bush for.
