Happy Thanksgiving!

Saturday I raced on a 1965 35 foot C&C at Bronte's Turkeyfest. Unfortunately it was super foggy. The race was delayed and when it did start no one knew which way to start so we were one of the three boats out of forty-ish to start correctly. Everyone else crossed the line in the other direction (things get confusing in the fog); with our spinnaker up it made for an interesting start. We spent the rest of the race not seeing any other boats. After the first mark we were fifth (two 40+ foot C&Cs, a tri, and a J34 were in front of us) but by the time we got to the second we were still in fifth and figured that it'd be impossible to finish the race by the 5'clock curfew so we packed it in (only the two forty footers finished). So sad that there was way too much fog and not enough wind. But we did almost have altercations with a freighter and a barge; let me tell you that their fog horns are loud and scary and leave you wondering just how would you survive running into one in the fog.

Sunday after a brunch with Natalie's Mom's side of the family we went to her Dad's place in London. After surviving those two events we headed out with Maeve to Call the Office and then Prince Al's were we spotted Kitty.

Today I gutted the pantry and started to insulate it because heating the room with the fridges just seemed a bit inappropriate.

Somehow Natalie talked me into seeing the School of Rock tonight. I recommend you wait till it's out on video.
