Gizmodo: Bad news for bookstores: instantly check Amazon prices with a cameraphone.

Ingenious. Though of course I believe that all retail stores should have some sort of Internet access for product research.

Today's Bulletin, Waterloo to get 'Canada's largest single Wi-Free Free Zone hot spot':
A free pilot site of over 4 sq. km., which encompasses an area going east of the University of Waterloo and north of University Avenue and includes the cafes and restaurants at 140-170 University Avenue and surrounding area.
And,
The company says it plans to build on this first site "to blanket the entire Region of Waterloo . . . at an affordable price while offering wireless portability."

Is this for real!? It's being set up by Fibretech. Rumor has it that the hardware is from Vivato. Too bad they're also not going south of University and hitting the park and Erb St...

Racing tonight was lots of fun. When we first got on the water it was blowing just over 10 knots but by the time we got to the start line it had really died down. Then twenty seconds before the start it went from 7 knots to 35 knots. It was crazy. We had to pull down the number one (rated for up to 18 knots) and sailed two legs with just an unreefed main. Then we throw up the number three and watched a high speed collision between two big boats. Definitely the windest race of the season.

Worst Bomber Ever.

Where was Titus & Groupies? Where was Adam? Where the hell was Regan, Nat, Cormie,... ? At no point was there a line. That's how lame it was.

Thankfully we were able to hang out with Lomac and Jen(n). Now Jen, drink that beer and stop fixating on you know who.
