'AJ, Jam and I have decided that we should begin our own weblog to rival yours. We are going to be high on the gossip and interesting stories, and low on the computer talk.'

Hmmmm.. Should I help them compete by providing server space? :)

While waiting on my chicken fingers I read the Globe's article on Guerrilla tactics growing in ad jungle. There's some pretty zany stuff, from washing parked Audis, to including car door lock opening instructions on drycleaning hangers. Those advertisers will leave no rock unturned to separate you from your money! (I live to consume. Don't you?)

I also read that my cell company has partnered with AOL ICQ so that I can send and receive ICQ IMs on my phone. More on ICQ after work..

About EmergentMusic (login info) Curt asks, 'It wasn't clear to me how writing reviews and rating other reviews is good for me.' My response is:
  1. Money! Win prizes if you're one of the best raters or reviewers as decided by the community
  2. Reputation. Be known as someone who's good at either finding new music or writing reviews about new music.
  3. Help others by introducing them to new music. Break the Clear Channel stranglehold!

And to answer another question.. 'You always say 'new music' do you mean recently released music?' No. I mean music that is new to the community. So don't wait for a new album to be released by your favorite small indie band. Review their older work now because chances are that we don't know about it.

Everyone is doing this referrer thingy. [I tried but it wasn't working]

So how long before spammers and intrepid marketers start spoofing referrers to drive traffic from an A-listers site?

You can also see my referrers and site ranking according to Radio Userland.
