5 pages of Oktoberfest photos! Standard disclaimer: I am not a photographer and I actually took very few of the photos.
Bloggers in attendance Friday for Oktoberfest at Queensmount Arena were Ming, Kevin, Adam and Jonathan. So Microsoft Money 2001 OEM came with my notebook.. I thought I'd start to use it because my expenses always seem to exceed my income. So last night I fire it up and download my existing online banking info. So I have a lot of accounts and as a result I'm often transferring money between accounts. It seems to me after some considerable investigation that Money isn't able to figure out that when $x leaves one account and then appears that same day in another account that the two transactions are related. As a result when I categorize transfer transaction Money creates a duplicate entry of the account because it doesn't see the pre-existing entry that was just downloaded. And this gets even more messed up when transferring between CDN and USD accounts because of exchange rates..
Now I want to ask someone at Microsoft about this. Maybe there is a way to make Money intelligent. So I go to their support site, sign up for Microsoft Passport to learn it'll be 'The charge for this support offering is $195.00' (emphasis theirs, not mine). $195USD! I might as well buy Quicken to see if Quicken can do what I want! ARGH. Bachelor of Computer Science at UW with a target date of admitting the first students as soon as September 2003. I must say that I'm jealous! I wish I was getting a B.CS because 'the B.Math (CS) is, in effect, a double major in Math and CS' and me and math don't get along very well. So far I've taken 6 math courses and have 5 more to go.
I.e. my math average is 63.8% while my CS average is 85% and my business/econ average is 86.4% (this is excluding my UofM courses where I got all A+.. Those were the days!). No more dean's honour list for me now that I'm at UW.
