Follow the Windows Media Center beta setup guy around the world with his new blog. I think this is the only Media Center blog? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Any recommendations for Seattle DSL providers? I really didn't want to have to get a local phone but the only cable Internet provider is Millenium Digital Media who has awful reviews. Rumor has it our building is getting wireless by the end of next month but the landlord really couldn't elaborate on what kind of wireless Internet.

Also, is it possible to get DSL without local phone service?

I'm in my apartment and the moving guys just showed up.

And there is a 'low' open access point! Thanks open access point neighbors you're much friendlier than my closed Redmond neighbors.

Busy night for a change.

I picked up my keys and got introduced to my new apartment. Of course I'm having all those new housing jitters (I was a mess the night I bought my house). Do I really want an apartment? I don't have a balcony... How noisey will my neighbors be? How noisey will I be? Am I in the right neighborhood? Can I really afford it? Can I live without a BBQ? Can I live with being stuck with a shitty cable and Internet company? If I moved up a floor or two then I'd have an even better view... How will I furnish the place? Is it the traffic too noisey? The city lights too bright?

...Matt and his petty concerns.

In the other good news department; I just got my Social Security card, 'Valid for work only with INS authorization'. I thought it'd be a real card (like my SIN card) but it's just a piece of paper.

My stuff is arriving tomorrow morning at 8am. I'll have to do a reverse commute.

FYI: I left Redmond today at 5:00 and arrived at my new apartment at 5:35.

And my new address is on my contact page.
