I spent the day wandering around Capitol Hill looking at housing and was pretty depressed about the situation until I accidently stumbled into an amazing older but recently renovated building which was having an open house and found a great place.

1100 sq feet, gas stove, gated garage parking, lots of windows, killer view, dishwasher, 2 bedroom, only one bath though, great location (pike/pine corridor, easy access to the freeway), high ceilings, hardwood floors,...

It's not my dream apartment but I don't think you can rent the kind of space I'm looking for so I'll have to compromise for something more conventional.

Tomorrow from 12-3 I'm touring around with a realtor so I'm going to take him back there and if has nothing better to show me I'll snap it up because it sounds like it'll be gone tomorrow.
