Tonight after a feast at Mr.Sushi we went to U of Waterloo's sex columnist's Fantasia Party.

Nothing too shocking, but they need to cut to the chase quicker.

I really enjoyed the Imprint this week.

  • News
    • Tim Hortons wins Ground Zero sweepstakes. Construction begins in May 2004, should be done in Fall 2004. This is the right decision.
here were concerns that Symposium would suffer a similar fate to Ground Zero by becoming a money-pit. It was also suggested that Symposium, which provided free food at the meeting for council members, might be a little more upscale than necessary for the average student.
    • Feds-funded candidates fail to win ridings in municipal elections. I think funding candidates was a mistake. I also did not vote. One big election a year is about all I can handle.
Math co-op councillor Robert Ewaschuk, who believes that the money was well spent, was disappointed both by the results and the consistently low student voter turnout.
    • So much for phoning it in. Isn't this phone right besides the Turnkey desk? Can't we lock it down?
For the second time in two weeks, the courtesy phone in the SLC has been stolen right off the wall.
    • Do you know what Feds are doing with your student fees? Why and where are the Feds going?
Costs incurred by Feds for travel and conference expenses also sky-rocketed by almost 140 per cent but Capper claims that such spending figures are lower from last year.
    • UW lacking in bike safety. I thought the article was going to be about the high incidence of wheel and fork theft. But it's just about students not wearing helmets. Why don't they? Because it will ruin their hair.
    • Liberals to freeze tuition hikes. I'll believe it when they do freeze them and at the same time increase funding. Now I do like the juxtaposition with the next article.
    • UW math/business tuition about to rise. 'act sci students could be next'. They better be!
    • Secrecy of Feds hurt us, and hurts them. I miss Ryan's regular Fed attacking article. ...I also just don't get why the Fed's can't keep us informed. It really wouldn't take that much work.
The Feds executive is supposed to serve the students, their members who hold ultimate authority in the federation. Current and past executives have not adequately served us by keeping information away from public view.
    • ExpressBooks Put On Hold. Let's leave the online book business to Amazon.
Thee ExpressBooks service was simply too inefficient and expensive to maintain, says a Bookstore representative.

  • Opinion
  • Opinion - Letters
  • Arts.
    • Sustainability coffee house a hit. I was too busy studying, but a bunch of kids here went and really enjoyed it.
    • There ain't nothing weak about it. Yeah, I love the Weakerthans.
In many ways, it was just a regular evening for patrons of Waterloo's newest nightclub, the Starlight. Jaded hipsters clad in converse sneakers, hoodies and retro T's of all shapes and sizes sipped Crantinis and premium beers against a backdrop of minimalist decor and mood lightning.
