So I tried to download some MTV type lame-o song today and I downloaded 8 different copies of the song of varrying lengths and bitrates and they were all corrupt. It's probably a good thing because you'd all make fun of me if you found it on my iPod.

Congrats RIAA, you're doing a great job of preventing me from previewing some of your member's music.

When I grow up I want to be a software developer because I love writing code.

Bars to open. From the Daily Bulletin:
Sunday night, with half the newcomers in residence and half yet to arrive, orientation leaders will hold a private party at Federation Hall, where the bars should be back in operation following an eight-month layoff.

National Post: Universities turn off pub taps for frosh week
According to an informal survey of Canadian schools by the National Post, only the University of Waterloo plans to hold an on-campus event where alcohol will be served.

I always found our frosh week to be pretty lame so I find it surprising that all of a sudden it's hip. In any case they should just drop the drinking age to 18 (as should America).

Also,

"Parents think it's like it used to be when they were in school," she said. "It's not. The last time I saw a keg party was 1992."
That reminds me, keg party at our place Friday September 12th. Rumor has it we've booked a band to pkay.

We did some research tonight and we concluded there are a lot of (hand) guns in America. The scary thought is how many guns there probably are in our building.

Tonight, on the off chance I end up Seattle I went to check out the boat scene.

Here's the situation as best as I can figure. The big racing club is the Corinthian Yacht Club which has club houses on both the Puget Sound and Lake Washington. On the sound out of Shilshole Bay Marina the boats to race are Olson 30s, J30s and up, Melges 24, and i14s (and other dinghies). The J24 scene (they have about 20 boats racing regularly) as well as Snipes, Thistles, San24s, TBirds and MC Scows is at the Leschi Lake Center on Lake Washington.

So far I think the best bet is to race J24s on the Lake. Though if you have any thoughts on the racing scene post below.
