Today I found four pictures from highschool stuck in a book:
  • Someone you all know wearing a dress in grade 10 taken on the night we shot our first (and only?) film
  • A group photo from the film
  • Me sailing my yellow Laser
  • John and I (with my bleached hair dyed red or something)
Perhaps I'll scan them in. Perhaps not. Though I feel I'd have to seek that someone's permission before posting the dress picture.

I'm too lazy to post a big rant on it but none of the current weblog tools meet my needs (I've been considering switching to Movable Type but I don't think I will). Radio Userland comes the closest but it is so user-unfriendly; I think one of its requirements is a Phd in computer science.

Gary, take note: Letter to the Editor in Saturday's Globe and Mail, We're already paying:
Perhaps the music industry should have been more careful about what it wished for. The quid pro quo is that the private copying of sound recordings and the musical works and performances embodied in them is now clearly legal under the Canadian Copyright Act. This must not be done for the purpose of selling, renting, distributing, communicating by telecommunication or performing in public the copied material. Most, if not all, knowledgeable lawyers would agree that this allows the downloading and storing of music obtained from the Internet onto CD-Rs, flash memory and other media including PC hard drives. In this and other key respects, Canadian law differs from that of the United States.
(via my Mom (I don't normally read the Letters)).

Racing was cancelled today because of the bad weather; it was too foggy, too rainy, and not enough wind. However, yesterday it poured, and one race was completely fogged in and yet still we raced.

Saturday results: 2 (tied on corrected, missed first by a second?), 5, 5

Some photos:

If I had $275,000USD I'd buy a Farr 40. If you have that kind of money, here's the order form [pdf] (you only need 10% down).
