Tiring day out on the water. Fortunately my raging cold from yesterday completely disappeared. So tired. Here are the bullets:

  • Racing a C&C 30 PHRF of 162
  • Results: 5, 5, 3
  • Other boats in our class: 2 Capris, a J22, a Kirby 25
  • Hard to compete against similarly rated boats that are significantly smaller and lighter, especially in light air
  • We're not out on the lake but in the bay
  • Race 3 delayed because of fog. Fog lifts 45 mins after rolling in
  • Need to grind counterclockwise on this boat
  • Must talk to Jen about borrowing a dingy
  • One sandwich is enough
  • The loaf is good
  • The 8Ms are cool. Need to crew on one.
  • Should quit job and race full time (not because I'm good, just because it's fun)
  • There is no real younger generation of keelboat racers

Rumor has it we're having a party on September 12th. You've been forewarned, so no excuses for no shows.
