There are a bunch of Apple lurkers here who always like to point out how Apple is so much better than Dell.. Well looks like Apple's hinges break just like everyone elses.

My Audioscrobbler profile.

I listen to music 8+ hours a day and I used to have a Fairtunes plugin which told me my top x artists and songs but I haven't had it turned on in years so it will be neat to see what this turns up.

Of course, I don't even remember listening to some of those songs which it says I listened to. I guess I tune it out a bit.

And why hasn't Winamp (2.x) been able to develop a more random shuffle?

We went to the new Koren Japanese restaurant, Mirage, for the Friday Lunch. We all had the 'Noodle with Shrimp'. The noodles were spicy and the shrimp were whole (head and all (only 2)). Beware of the splash with the noodles. Two of us got some splash back resulting in some quality time with the sink and soap when I got home.

I always seem to post anti-Winnipeg things..

So here's a quote from Adam Lehner, executive editor at New York's Drawing Center in the latest Toro (which I really enjoy) which has an article entitled, Wild Crop, 'How a small band of artists living in a dysfunctional neighborhood in an isolated prairie town became the toast of the international art scene':

If I were an artist from Winnipeg, I would get down to New York and tell everyone.

Turns out artists are digging the cheap (illegal living and studio) space in the exchange. The article talks about how they have to get beg friends to deliver cat food bought in the suburbs.

So maybe rent controls mean the creation of an international art scene?

Derek from CDBaby made notes on Apple's presentation about iTunes to independent musicians.

Lots of interesting tidbits on iTunes. Check it out.

Update: His notes got pulled. Here's a cache.
