UofToronto gets a big whack of porn (via the must read Dazereader). But news about Natalie aside you're probably more interested to hear who won our game! Result: We tied! John was of course in a pissy mood since their team really is better but we held them off. I didn't score and neither did John but Langeman did (he's on John's team). I did however get a penalty for tripping Daniel Bigham with a minute to go :) and probably should have gotten another one for taking out Andrei (he's a big boy). My old roommate Matty nailed me good to get me back for taking him out the last time we played.
It was a good time and we're playing them on Tuesday @ 10pm. This time it'll be for the playoffs so we'd better sneak a win out of it. Natalie just found out she is working at RIM for the winter term. She is of course very happy since she wanted the job and it's a good one too! and because due to the weirdness of co-op she 'risked it all' on her ranking form and scored big (see she hadn't been offered the RIM job, just ranked (but she was offered 3 other jobs (just so you don't think she didn't get any offers :) ))). We have mixed feelings about this but they can't be shared due to the public nature of this weblog (because RIM people read it :) ). But I am happy that she'll be in Waterloo. It means that I'll probably be taking another 1 or 2 courses since there's no need to move to Toronto. It also means she's getting a (free) Blackberry so I'll have to con my employer into getting me one so we can IM back and forth under the table at the bar (which is one of the things we hate :) ).
<insert joke about rim jobs here/> hahah get it? My team is playing John's and Langeman's team in hockey tonight so if you're in town come cheer one of us on (preferably me!) @ 4pm at the Icefields (I miss the Max Bell arena at UofM. It was a real arena).
In the past John and I couldn't play on the same team or even play against each other since John borrowed my hockey equipment. He solved that yesterday by buying a bunch of used equipment ($250!). I'm still stuck using a collection of my sister's old ringette equipment and some of mine from when I was 12. They skates I use are my dads and don't fit well. My office is in a sun room off my bedroom so while I bitch a lot about the rain (I'd put some links to when I bitched about the rain but Google hasn't been spidering me lately) I actually enjoyed the rain because it meant I could actually see my computer screens. Now that it's stopped raining as much I went out on Friday and bought a bunch of blinds and put them up. While they've changed the feel of the room at least I don't have to wear sunglasses all day. Thanks to CS240 I can actually understand what David McCusker is talking about.
