Slashdot: What Do You Do When CS Isn't Fun Any More? What do you do when CS was never fun to begin with?
My Motto: D for Degree! :) Side bar update. Aimster appeared on Fucked Company today. In his defence on the Pho mailing list the CEO pointed to this page saying it was him working in his basement and therefore no one could get laid off. But then someone pointed to this interview where it says he has 14 employees. I was surprised to learn the Aimster accepts voluntary payments and disappointed to see his 16yr old daughter posing with guns. Her bikini photo is also questionable but at least non-violent.
John and I always joked Fairtunes needed a Fairtunes Girl. We recommended this to the new owner but I don't think they're going to take our suggestion seriously. Maybe we should ask Mr.Deep if it's working for Aimster? :) For Christmas I'd like either a pair of hockey skates that fit (John and I are sharing my dad's which means we can never play hockey together) or a Herman Miller Aeron chair (a link to a place in Canada that sells em w/free shipping! (that's right it's only $1,175.93 after GST)). This is a link to AutoZone. It is an illegal link in violation of their linking agreement: Thank you for your interest in placing links to the AutoZone.com homepage on your Web site(s). If you would like to place such a link on your Web site(s), you must do the following... I didn't do the following.. :) Hah. Here's another illegal link.
What sillyness (via MeFi). You'll be pleased to know that my website does not have a linking agreement so link away! When we were in New York we noticed that there were absolutely no homeless people as compared to Toronto which has many. This snippet is from S.F. spends more than $200 million a year on homelessness, but why does the problem persist?: New York is required by court order to provide shelter to all who request it, and today its shelters hold nearly 27,000 people a night. Beds are also available indefinitely. [1:03:44 PM] []
