Notice I didn't get some lame ass web enabled phone. Why? Because the web is unsurfable on a 3 line screen no matter what the commercials will tell you to the opposite. Want the web? Get a Blackberry. I'll probably pick one up in September once I'm not tied to my home office.

Bought a new cell phone today. It's a Nokia 6160i. Nothing fancy. I wanted fancy but fancy = bad reception. Was looking at a Motorola StarTac to replace my old StarTac but had to resist because of how bad the reception was (spotty in my apartment in downtown TO, downright awful in my dorm room, spotty even in parts of Winnipeg..). Nokia had some nice small ones but they too are plagued by bad reception.

My birthday rocked! I'll put the photos online during lunch.

For dinner we went to the Keg Mansion, then to Buddies, then chilled on our balconey till the wee hours.

Presents: Mark got me a card, Maeve a cake from her cafe, John dinner, Angie drinks, Gary and Bob got me a book and fancy marmalade. So thanks all!

Saturday we recovered and watched Requiem for a Dream, a 'slit your wrists' move about drug addiction. I may never do hard drugs again :).

Sunday I spent 3 hours in Portland, Maine with Bob and Gary arguing over the future of digital distribution among other more important subjects.

And last night we headed to Woody's(made famous by QAF (now that link is to the official QAF site but it says these pages are intended for access only from within the United States. What is up with that!?)) for Jonathan's birthday. Rumor has it Rafi was there too but we didn't see him. There was a drag queen show and unfortunately she/he spotted our straight and obviously out of place group and made a lot of fun of Maeve's hair, shirt, and sexuality. Sucks to be a straight female in a gay bar.

While no one has ever sent presents, when my ICQ number was on the webcam page we did get a lot of ICQ stalkers to the point where I removed the number. We even got called up (twice) by a group of girls one night in our dorm room.
