The average American now eats a staggering thirty pounds of French fries a year, up from four pounds when Ray Kroc was first figuring out how to mass-produce a crisp fry. From an article by Malcom Gladwell .

Got a postcard (front, back) from John today from when he was at Lake Tahoe. Now how can he tell me that the cost of living there is sooo expensive when he can afford to ski at Tahoe and gamble in Reno?

I always like to say that we're de-commoditizing the music business by thinking of music as an art. Now here is an article (Washington Post) that says to me we should focus on de-monetizing our childhoods.

Rumor has it the next Napster ruling (which could shut it down) will be on March 2nd.

I was trying to lower my cell bill with Rogers ATT but it turns out that whenever you switch plans they lock you in for another year. Now I changed my plan last November and no one informed me of this so instead of my 'one year contract' expiring in June which is when I got the phone I'm locked in all the way to November. Somehow I don't think it is very fair that they can do that without informing me. I think when my real contract ends in June they'll be getting a nasty letter or call from me because there is no way I'm staying with them till November!
