Check out the new Amazon Honor System. Features include:
You can read about it on ZDNet, Jakob Nielson's UseIt, CNET and Slashdot, and finally their press release (links go to the articles). Well first thing to really say is that there was some nice support on Pho, everyone sees this as a positive for Fairtunes. Why? Increased visibility of the concept. Which I do have to agree with. But I am a little doubtful that it will bring in new pouring of potential investors or press. Amazon has a solid brand and that's hard to beat. Especially with credit card wary customers. But on the other hand a lot of hard core users, specifically, early adopters, probably do not like Amazon because of their patent craziness. We'll have to wait and see on this one. After getting the depressing Amazon news I ran off to a job fair. I'm a little skeptical of my chance of getting an interview from any of the places I talked to because they just toss your resume in an already overflowing box. Went to a Trilogy info session at the swank University Club. Housing!? After a rousing fight in the rez room with Natalie, Al, Justin, and Donny, Jon Bowman walks in and believe or not he has three rooms open in his place (207 Erb). What's the low down? Here's what I fired off to John in San Fran:
BTW: The housing situation here is crazy. We have the second lowest vacancy rate in the country. So this place is a great deal. [8:59:53 PM] []
