Showing up on time for hockey

An interesting e-mail went out last week to my div 5 team:

Darren took a look at our stats this season and found that we score almost half as many goals in the first period as we do in either the second or third. We also give up way more goals in the first period than we do in the other two periods. This almost surely has to do with the fact that we aren’t warmed up and ready by the time the puck drops. We realize that everyone is busy, but leaving just 10 minutes earlier would make a HUGE difference.

Another balmy day in the Peg, it was -45C when I left for work this AM. It was also a great day for my car heater fan motor to die. And 2 winter tires are simply worn out from dodging potholes. Almost time for my wagon to RIP.

5 minutes of warmup is all it takes…. hard running on the spot, then some streching…. big difference!!!

Going out and streching on a big block of ice…. i think you can see the problem with that!

Good luck with your season Goyer!!!
