XBox 360

I got an XBox 360 today. My first impressions are generally all favorable. The only suggestion I have is that I wish the retail box had a handle so that it was easier to carry to my car and from my car to my apartment.

To test it out I bought Project Gotham Racing 3 from the Company Store. I guess I’ll have to pick up Ghost Recon since that’s the game everyone seems to be talking about.

Whistler

A random assortment of people, myself included, spent the weekend in Whistler. We took off after work on Thursday and partied hard straight through to Sunday. We had three days of decent skiing and two nights of lots of fun. I’d post more but it’s all a bit foggy.

Photo courtsey of No Friday.com (check out albums for 4-1 to 4-2) (No Friday is Joe’s website. Joe just spent three months living in Whistler. We’re all very jealous and trying to figure out how we too can take a three month leave of absence.)

What I do remember from this trip is that I need to go to Whistler more often (should I go to Telus..?). Two weekends this season was not enough so this April I’m going to buy an Edge pass and load it up with 12 days to ensure I don’t make the same mistake next year.

Organic

On the rare occasion I decide to cook I definitely like to go organic and so Megnut’s recent posts on the subject caught my eye. Recently she linked to the following which when I have a few minutes I’ll read (yes, it’s 1:25am, I just finished installing a new build of Windows Vista at home and I’m going through my usual steps to get it configured to my liking so I can start hammering on it to find bugs. I also have a 9:30am meeting tomorrow morning, ugh):

Right after I start my bar (I do need to post about all my recent investigation into that venture) I’m going to start a restaurant where each item on the menu will have a paragraph about the its origins. (The geek in me is thinking about how exciting it would be to add more metadata to menus…)
