On August 12th I quoted from Rogers ATT Wireless:
In these areas, which collectively represent less than 1% of the U.S. population, all calls placed and received will incur a charge of $4 (CDN) per minute + applicable taxes (long distance and roaming included).
Well I just got my bill for my road trip to Seattle and I owe $48 for 12 minutes of calls (half of which were to 1-800 #'s looking for a hotel at 2am) made in 1% of the US where Rogers doesn't have roaming agreements. Fucking hell.

Today in info sys management our participation question was something along the lines of 'How can the University of Waterloo employ strategic information systems?'. A collective groan went up because as Canada's leading tech & innovation school we must have the absolute WORST info tech system.

On my way out of the physics building today I noticed a large number of yellow tags by UW Parking Services adorning many bikes locked to trees, signs and what not. The tags implored people to lock their bikes to the bike racks WHICH WERE FULL.

Instead of wasting money on ticketing bikes the school should buy more racks. They also need to replace all the rusty racks which only take a good shove to break the welds.

I know about I bitched about the 100% parking fee increase in my favorite lot (X) but why don't they put that fee to use by buying more racks so that less people drive?

Today at hockey I took a hard shot to the chin. I didn't think it was a big deal and played on. But the dripping blood tipped me off that it might be serious and so after hockey, I went home, showered, made a lunch and then went to Health Services (if I was a UW Blogger I'd hyperlink that and tell you how good HS is) and spent an hour getting a bunch of needles and stitches. At least it's not as bad as losing a front tooth like Orr.

Tomorrow I'll go buy a new helmet with better chin coverage.
