How does Microsoft achive such amazing revenue growth? (via Microsoft Monitor)
The company reported quarterly revenues of $9.19 billion, up 12 percent year over year.

The answer is Goodbye Cans, Hello Dispenser (via Mini-Microsoft):

I was across campus recently having lunch and I saw it: a fountain drink dispenser!

[snip]

And while I waited and waited for my grilled burger [snip], not a single person grabbed an orange cup to get themselves some ice and soda. I noticed that cans matching the dispenser choices (Coke, Diet Coke, etc) were no longer available. So I had my first canned Vanilla Coke in a long-long time.

Everyone else just grabbed cans for their lunch-time drink, too. Now perhaps it's because the fountain is new and folks just aren't used to them yet, but given that the fountain drinks only cover some of the wondrous canned selection we have now, I imagine most folks will just find new canned drinks and eschew the dispenser.

Please say it ain't so!

So Millennium Cable does support HD cable. I'm having it installed tomorrow. Now we can watch The OC in HD!

It's very odd that they do not advertise the fact that they have HD cable and are not trying to upsell it to their existing subscribers. Especially since it's only $7 more a month.

And yes, I know it won't work with Media Center 2005 and this annoys me as much as it annoys you.

The Globe and Mail, This in a city of exceeding ugliness :
This story comes to you from Waterloo, Ont., a city of surpassing ugliness.

And Waterloo only got uglier by the building of the Perimeter Institute. Who designs a black building!? Here is a photo but don't be fooled by the glare off the building, the building elevation that is visible from Erb Street is black and ugly.
