So I've been desperately needing to do laundry this past week (out of shirts) and I finally got around to doing laundry yesterday. I ended up loading up the dryer close to midnight and went to bed. This morning I was getting in the shower and couldn't find my towel and realized I had to go get my laundry. Now I guess a lot of people were doing really late night laundry because I found my laundry all folded neatly, socks matched, in a basket on the counter. Thanks!

I think I'm now going to have throw out all my not nice underwear if I'm now going to be worrying about other people judging me in the laundry room. Or maybe at least stop wearing the Christmas stuff all year round (which is the case since my main underwear source is Christmas).

FYI, you can buy the Globe and Mail for $5 at Broadway News. I'm very excited about this.

We had our first Greater Seattle Hockey League game tonight and we won! 4-2.

John and I are playing in division 6 (but our team might get moved to 5) on the 'Red Army' (Complete with a hammer and sickle as a logo). We wear Detroit Red Wing colored jerseys. We just got them today and have to take them in to get our numbers and names put on the back so we're all professional like.

The hockey is just the right pace and has just the right amount of physical contact. Though I did get in an altercation with someone on the other team and we both ended up in the box with matching penalties for roughing or something. Compared to rec/intramural hockey John and I are pretty small and young. Periods here are 18 minutes run time. No two line passes. No touch icing.

The cost to play is something like $225 a season (12? games). Unfortunately all the games are in places like Renton so there is a bit of driving involved. There are also very few hockey stores around so I'll probably be doing all my shopping on the web/back home and driving out to Lynwood to get my skates sharpened.

Anyhow despite drive times and no shops, hockey here looks promising.

Of course, in fantasy land Microsoft would have it's own rink and I'd play every day at lunch.

I'm up and running with a new hard drive + new Windows XP install on my laptop. So blogging can now resume!
