Montreal Gazette: Leave Internet alone
If somebody robs your store, and drives away in a Chevrolet, you should be able to sue General Motors. This is the absurd "logic" behind a case going to the Supreme Court today.

Canon S110 Update.

Brad offered me his LCD since his S110 also met an untimely death. So today I had John, since he is bored, take apart my S110 to see if a LCD transplant was feasible. He completely dismantled the camera (if I had a camera we'd have taken pictures) and the conclusion is that it really is hard to disconnect the LCD (made by Sony). It has two connectors on it, one is easily detachable, the other is soldered on.

If you need any parts from my S110 (like the motor, sensors,...) you're welcome to have them. And I'll sell off the battery, cable and flash card.

I'm currently looking at the Pentax Optio S4. Unfortunately DP does not have a full review. Other contenders the DiMage, Nikon 3700... Again priorities are small, durable, quick to take a picture (my S110 took forever to focus).

Of all the cameras I looked at today none of them protect the LCD. LCDs are protected on cell phones, I don't know why they can't do the same for cameras. Because what's the point of a small camera if it can't leave without a case in my pocket?

The Saturday Globe and Mail had an interesting article entitled Modernizing the Stairway to Heaven and very unfortunately it is not online and I can't link to it. The stairway they are referring to is the Annapurna trek in Nepal and it talked about this new highway they are building, a $550/night hotel near Jomson, proposed gondolas,... and all sorts of other craziness.

If you still have the paper read it. Here are some maps to refresh your memory as to where some of the places are:

I'm no April & May fan which is why I overlooked the comic section on Friday. But my housemates clued me in that it was actually pretty funny: Dear Editor...

Fun with tv:

Update: From the other room, 'Matt it lowers your blog credibility when you link to stuff like that (refering to this post). Next you'll be linking to quizzes such as 'what operating system am I? Or which OC character am I?'
