This evening I had a phone interview for a company that I would be excited to work for. I stressed all week about the interview and kept all my friends in the dark about it. Of course the interview went okay but that doesn't mean anything. The kicker was that they asked me a brain teaser and while I had a browser open to Google, I resisted, and instead really struggled with the question. I guess I have some moral fibre in me. (I won't find out for a week or two about this thing so don't ask. I don't want to talk about it).

So, yes, this job hunt thing is not going well. It is clear the bubble has burst and that we are now in a nuclear winter. The scary thing is that I don't think a better resume or higher marks would help. Things really are bleak. I'm sure things will all work out in the end like they always do but I'm starting to lose faith! :)

And yes, I would, in a second, drop the $3000 I have saved on co-op fees if it meant working at one of my choice companies for just this one summer. (Take that as an offer. Get me a dream job and I'll pay you $3k at the end of summer).

Co-op shouldn't have people like Robin promoting their services on campus day. They should have dropouts like me lamenting the fact that I signed a letter saying I knew that I would never (ever) get back in to co-op.

In other news, one of our professors approached Kevin and I before class and urged us to consider grad school. Its a nice vote of confidence and I will take her up on the opportunity to talk about (god forbid) more school.

Interesting link in light of the discussion below: How to watch Iraqi TV. Oops we just blew it up.
