'Worst Midterm Ever'

45% of the exam was based on two 'lightbulb questions'. Of course the lightbulb(s) did not go off and so things are not looking bright.

If I were a professor I would have made 10% of the exam based on 'lightbulb questions'. Of course they should have them, and of course students who are capable of getting them should be able to do so. But if per chance someone can't get them they should not be overly penalized. For instance one question worth 15/90 marks was a lightbulber and probably 10 out of its 15 marks were for routine stuff that if you knew the lightbulb you could crank out.

And the kicker with lightbulbs is that it doesn't matter how long you study. If the light doesn't go off while you are sitting there you can't get it.

Not that I'm complaining. I just love it when Waterloo kicks my ass.

I'd attend the city council meeting today but I have an exam at the same time.
