They design computer labs here the same way they design casinos in vegas; you never know what time it is. There are no windows. The lights are bright. There's euphoric highs. Tragic lows.

People come and ask me to go for dinner and I think, "but I only had lunch 30 minutes ago", but really, it was five hours ago.

Overheard in the sauna/lab:
  • Someone referring to my lack of updates, "you gotta get a life" (how can someone tell me to get a life when they too are in the lab?)
  • "Well why don't you write your own malloc"
  • "I don't have time to kill your vim. So I wrote a script to do it"
  • Referring to the arguments at another group, "Are mommy and daddy going to get a divorce?"
  • Nat, "I'm on a testing high." John, "Is that legal?"
  • "It works in Cygwin"
