There's a bunch of drunk physicists in our house while I'm trying to study pen twirling but I really should be learning about using sinking funds to pay off mortgages.

Update: Here's my mortgage schedule. (j2 = 5%). You'll see that I'll be paying the bank $27,200 to borrow some money off them for a few years. You'd think that when you give someone that much money they'd maybe throw in some freebies like a free line of credit or not charge you monthly fees but that's not the case. The bank is determined to nickel and dime us to death!

Air Canada just called to say that they don't reward aeroplan points on X & Z class fares which is what Travel Cuts apparently sells..

Fearing a $165 snow clearing bill from the City I bought a $15 shovel and got to work on my front sidewalk today before lunch. 10 minutes later I was thoroughly exhausted.

So here we have yet another reason not to buy a house.

I also bought a $50 heater because the two fridges in our uninsulated back fridge room are so cold the contents in the fridges are freezing even with the fridges dailed down to minimum coldness. My vote is for unplugging the fridges and heating the room up to 4'c :) because heating a room up just so the fridges can cool it back down again is just wrong.

I had a dream last night where I reasoned that if I had CAA then I could then get them to come and rid us of our squirrel.

FYI: Squirrel traps are $50-75.

Inertia The Movie. The case looked enticing and it won the CITYTV Award for Best Canadian First Feature Film at the Toronto International Film Festival but the only redeeming thing about the film was that it was set and shot in Winnipeg.

Speaking of movies. It drives me bananas that movie stores don't have at least one Internet terminal so you can surf sites like IMDb to check out movie reviews.

I'd also like a thing on this site so you guys could recommend movies and books to me/us because we're always lost when we go and try and rent a non-blockbuster film.
