I met up with JF (from Gords) at the Canadian bike trade show (I was only there for 30 minutes), ExpoCycle on Sunday. Anyhow, if you're interested here are his photos of the 2003 lines from Bianchi, Norco, Rocky Mountain, and Specialized.

For all you American Idol fans. This is from Salon: Slaves of celebrity
If contestants reveal anything to anyone about the workings of the show or the contract they signed, they're liable for damages "in excess of $5 million."
And
These young performers are wrapped up for recording, management and merchandising under the most restrictive terms imaginable: Their careers are literally not their own.

Pretty onerous stuff but hey, I'd sell my soul if they wanted to turn me into a famous rock star. And look I still have a chance:

In the February "Pop Idol" finale between Gareth Gates and Will Young, almost 9 million people voted, and Young, a 23-year-old student from Hungerford, was anointed as Britain's newest superstar.

Will *I* notice the difference between a 5400 and 7200 rpm hard drive in the 80-120 gig range?

Saw Matthew Good at Fed Hall tonight with the boys.

The line stretched from the doors till at least one of the residences. The bouncers blamed it on their new handheld swipees (which I believe the Feds are using to gather our personal info so that they can more effectively spam us, of course this doesn't work on my low tech Manitoba license which someone had to manually register with a paper and pen).

Had fun playing the spot the frosh with the X's game, making fun of Ming for being old, watching the crowd surfers get pulled down, listening to JP whining that his camera was taken away, covering Ming while he covertly used his and watching while bouncers removed the person in the crowd who dared to use their camera.... Ah, the student run bar + loud music.
