There was an announcement in the Globe today that Brian Tobin joined the Canadian Record Industry Association's board of directors. Is that good or bad?

UW Off Campus Housing has a new website?

Their last one was just plain awful.

A feature they really need is plotting the address(es) on a map so you can compare distances.

Speaking of housing.. We're still accepting applications to live at 161 Erb. I think all we have left is a one year lease @ $375/mn. Email if you want details and think you'll fit in.

Now I'm glad to see that you guys, like myself, hate CDs, but come on, these are *free* CDs that we're giving away and I really hate it when Natalie wins because it just smacks of favoritism:

Bidding ends tomorrow.

We also sent out second newsletter today. We're trying to send them out every Wednesday as a way of reminding you guys to bid on CDs.. If you want the newsletter then go sign up. If you think you're a better writer than us we'll gladly publish your ramblings/articles/letters as long as they're somehow related to music. Email me if you're interested.

It takes Google 0.13 seconds to search for the word Quicken. Contrast that with Microsoft's Outlook which takes about an hour to find it in my mail box.

iPod news:
Apple lowered the price of the 5GB iPod to $299 from $399 and the 10GB model to $399 from $499. The new 10GB model also comes with a new case and remote control. The redesigned 10GB model is now 10 percent thinner. Jobs also introduced a 20GB iPod for $499.
And it's now going to officially work with windows:
Apple has partnered with MusicMatch for the syncing software. This means there are three iPod models for Mac users and three models for Windows users with MusicMatch software.

And there's also a cryptic note that 'Another new iTunes 3 feature lets people rate songs.' I wonder what that means??

One of these days when I'm rich and famous I'll buy a Mac.

Amazon Web Services looks promising and might have some application on Emergent Music but I think what would be a better fit would be if there was a CDBaby Web Services interface.

Natalie wants to know if there are any automatic change rollers/sorters in the KW region.

I want to know if you go to hell for buying concert tickets at cost from a mailing list and then resell them on eBay.
