I guess I really should say something about my trip to Copenhagen. Well what I'm really doing is putting off CS241 :).
I left on Saturday and flew overnight directly to Copenhagen. The only hitch was that I thought I could catch the Airporter to Pearson but the Airporter doesn't run on Saturday so I had to catch the door-to-door service. On the plane I saw Almost Famous (I was going to link to the official site but it is bogged down with FLASH) again. Funnily enough they cut out the scene where the airplane almost crashes.
Upon arriving in Copenhagen I caught a train to downtown and then cabbed it to my hotel. There I promptly slept the day away till dinner when I met my hosts for the first time.
The next day we went to a late lunch just off of pushers street. Pushers street is famous for it's alley of pot and hash selling street vendors. ..Now I thought Kathmandu was bad for having drugs pushed upon you but this was something else!
In the afternoon I walked around the walking part (i.e. no cars allowed) of downtown and saw the water front.
For dinner we went to Krogs for a very expensive (like $100US/person) fish dinner. We had lots to eat and drink and some even had a cigar at the end. ..I opted for some grappa instead.
And the next morning it was back off to the airport and back to Toronto.
I must say that I always enjoy europe and hope to get back for a more extended stay soon. But it is expensive. For example I had a $10 chocolate ice cream waffle cone!
Talked to a reporter from The Industry Standard so I checked today to see if I was quoted. Turns out my name shows up a few times.
