How busy is too busy?

Wednesday night was John's birthday and after a long night of karoke in the International District at Bush Gardens(you're probably surprised to read that John choose karoke as his birthday event. So were we. And believe or not, he's actually very good!) I crashed what seemed to be around 3am. I then was up at 6am to catch a bus over to the east side of Lake Washington to go wakeboarding at 7am with some co-workers on someone's X-30. This was the second time this week I was up at 6am to go wakeboarding. While I had been asked several times before about going wakeboarding in the morning because the water is so much smoother, I would laugh them off because I don't wake up before 8:30am. But actually, getting up then isn't the end of the world and the wakeboarding is great! Anyhow, after wakeboarding for three hours, I went to work at 10am until 6pm then played hockey down in Kent at 8:30pm.

Tired yet?

Well yes, but tonight we're headed off to eastern Washington to bike Devil's Gulch tomorrow. The ride starts with a 12 mile climb with a 3300 foot elevation gain. Consider Mount Si, a popular hard core steep climb has a 4000 foot elevation gain.

You have to go through hell before you get to heaven.... From the lower parking lot it is an eleven mile climb to the top of Devil's Gulch. A long long climb that gives at least one indication of why this trail is named after the fallen angel.

Then we're doing some more biking on Sunday and I have another hockey game Sunday night.

Yet another car update...

So now that I have an alternator and know what it looks like I opened my car up last night and poked around only to discover that the alternator is buried deep in the engine cavity! As coincidence would have it a co-workers auto-knowledgable husband was around for lunch today and we went and took a look and he confirmed that it would take 2-3 hours for me to fix and would require jacking the car up. He even went as far to say that he would pay a shop to do the work rather than do it himself. So I called my shop up and for $79 they'll drop my junk yard alternator in. Though first I need to stop off at Schuck's to confirm that the alternator works which is a service apparently they'll do for free.

Panasonic Announces First Digital Camera With 16:9 CCD. Cool. I'd love a 16:9 camera.

I'm disappointed that Digital Home Canada's Canadian PVR Roundup did not include any mention of Media Center, espcially in the standalone PC category.
