I'm craving some business reading.

Forbes vs. Fortune vs. Business Week

Thoughts? (I already signed up for a subcription to Money).

Ex-Microsoftie Mark Jen on Microsoft PM email culture, Americans obsess over e-mail? Ask a Microsoftie…:
  • 100% check email first thing in the morning
  • 98% check email in middle of the night
  • 99% check it right after dinner
  • 97% check e-mail right when they get home from work
  • 100% do so right before they go to bed
Yeah, I'm definitely a typical PM right down to having a phone that pulls down new email every five minutes so I can check email in bed, on the bus, in the car, at the bar, sailing, wakeboarding, shaving (our GPM had a funny story once about cutting himself while reading email and shaving),...

It's no wonder that I don't have time to blog :).

So my blog list broke after using our Internet's hotel (Newsgator changed all my blog urls to be the ISPs registry URL). After spending an hour re-entering all the blogs I read into Newsgator (I sure hope they fixed this bug in later versions of Newsgator) and spending more time catching up on blogs I guess I'm now ready to make the commitment to get back into blogging.

I'll also use this chance to beg everyone who does not use full text RSS feeds to switch to full text. I unsubscribed from several non-full text feeds just now and the ones who stayed won't last long.

Byte and Switch has an interview with the inventor of Ethernet, Fibre Channel Doomed, Says Metcalfe (via Wes):
So our children are stealing music today, but very soon they'll be stealing full-length feature films, and its our job to give them the infrastructure to do that...

Go technology.

Daniel has a MCE Database Query tool and asks: It would be cool if some of the MS bloggers on the media center team would talk about some of the internals of MCE. What would you like to know?
I'm disappointed that Digital Home Canada's Canadian PVR Roundup did not include any mention of Media Center, espcially in the standalone PC category.
 What I work on
Yes, MCE requires a DVD drive
 MCE in a treehouse
Niveus and Magnolia Wine and Cheese
Yesterday afternoon we launched ABC Family in US Online Spotlight.
 First MCE video cast?
Steve's a home theater installer and went a little nuts with Media Center, MCE = Media Center Everywhere (via Sean in email): The TVs don't use Media Center Extenders to access the MCE interface and content.
