Ever dress up for a party and hope that the photos from it never see the light of day? With the advent of the web don't get your hopes up.

That's us at Dan's 80's Party.

Bejan has some more photos from the event.

No less than five people called to remind me that it was Mother's Day today. I know I play the part of an obtuse son fairly well, but a little credit please!

So, Happy Mother's Day Mom! :)

With the new boat I can no longer afford my therapist so I engaged in some more kitchen gadget therapy today and picked up an OXO Ice Cream Spade. Yes, an ice cream spade. How cool is that? A spade should definitely deliver the ice cream throughput I require for making milkshakes.

FYI, while Williams and Sonoma only had lame ice cream scoops, the Bon Macy's had a much better selection.

Last year we went to the Secret Festival and it was great. Besides feeling like you're part of an exclusive group (you have to sign an oath of silence) there's no stressing about what movies you're going to see because each film is a surprise. So this is a reminder to go get your Seattle International Film Festival Secret Festival Memberships:
Secret Festival memberships are $35 for admission to the four Secret Festival Sunday morning screenings. Members are required to sign the Oath of Silence, promising not to disclose any information about the films shown in the series. Film titles are not announced until showtime. Limit: two per person.

They only have 300 memberships left (they sold the first 400 in 4 days).
