House Warming Party!

All you lurkers (Craig, Nick, David, Rob,... and the rest of the UW crowd) are invited to our house warming party this Saturday (June 1st).

Location: 161 Erb St W
Cost: $10

If you could RSVP (mgoyer@fairtunes.com) so that we can order the right number of kegs that'd be appreciated.

Lawn art

The house needs some lawn art.. Something along the lines of:

  • A big ship propeller
  • A dinosaur
  • One of those Toronto Mooses

Does anyone know where I can find something along those lines?

A friend's sister just got burned by Ticket Bastard. I too have been burned by them by my letters of complaint went unanswered.

Does anyone have any advice on how to 'sting Ticketmaster', or is it a lost cause?

Darryl: Appealing To Greed In Digital Music Distribution (A Proposed Model).

Revenue from the fees collected for each download are distributed as follows:

Copyright holder(s): 50%
Service: 25%
Person(s) who served the song: 25%

It smacks of Mojonation who have of course moved to the hopefully more profitable p2p enterprise backup (I can hear John laughing from here).

It also makes me wonder how much time Darryl has on his hands at Quarry Integrated Communications if he's penning this proposals :).

As much as I want my girlfriend to win the two CDs currently up for auction I don't want to be accused of favoritism. So GO BID.

This was my first weekend home during the month of May. For 'fun' (but really because my tenants were starting to riot) I installed a 'tub kit' (aka tub surrounds) so that we could use our bath as a shower. I was going to tile the area but the 3-5 week wait for a tile guy was way too long and $700 seemed a little steep, especially considering I picked up this tub surround for $72.

I didn't do a perfect job, a the plastic surrounds definitely are cheap looking but it's not like we're trying to get this house to win any awards.

And I really should add a house category so I can keep track of all my house/home improvement musings.

Oh, and re: Keg Fridge. We returned the keg and got a new one and the new one is not flat so it really was the keg and not our setup which was the result of flat beer.
