I hear that some of the Waterloo kids miss the old days when I'd just bitch about school and blog drunk. Yeah. I miss the old days too.

Katrina mentioned that she would know that I had my decision to stay here when I set the time in my car to Seattle time. I expanded upon this and came up with three ways to know if I had made my decision to stay:

  1. Car clock set to correct time zone
  2. If I had stop counting the number of weeks I had been here.
  3. If I decorated my office

I still need to decorate.

Weekend recap.

Friday we had the cool kids over and then the boys went to Pioneer Square which sucked. We went to the Fenix, Last Supper, and J&M. What we really need is a site that tells you which bar to get to on which need. That's what I need as a newbie to the Seattle scene.

Saturday we had a late breakfast, then went and bought tickets to the 'Secret Festival' as part of the Seattle Film Festival. What is the secret festival? It's 4 films for $30 and an oath of silence:

Members are required to sign the Oath of Silence, promising not to disclose any information about the films shown in the series. Film titles are not announced until showtime.

We then went shopping and I spent the rest of the afternoon in bed watching the OC. Saturday night went to the usual haunts.

Sunday I sailed on the Olson 30 in the second day of a one design regatta hosted by the Seattle Yacht Club. I had signed up to do both days but I couldn't stomach a weekend of sailing after last weekend's disasterous experience. Unfortunately the day ended early because of a lack of wind. After sailing Ben and I invited ourselves over to John's for BBQ/grill because the BBQ I want (the Weber Baby Q, designed for fire escapes) isn't in stock anywhere (I'm going to order it online). And now we've vegged out watching Sopranos and the OC.
