I just had a phone interview with Amazon today! I was quite nervous at first, she just asked me questions about arrays and linked lists. I didn’t do a very good job, but as we moved to actual programming problems, I was able to solve them and had calmed down quite a bit. I’m a PhD physicist, so I get very nervous applying to positions where I fear there will be lots and lots of CS type questions. So far, so good. Hopefully I move onto the next round…onsite interview??

Hi everyone, I’m planning to do a winter climb of Mount Rainier in early December, however, as of right now, I have no one to climb with. I’ve already booked my flight to Seattle for December 3rd. I’m flying back to Canada on December 15th (I’m from Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada). Does anyone know of a group or individual who would be interested in climbing Rainier with me? I’ve done winter climbs before (not Rainier, but Mount Washington in New Hampshire, twice). I’m looking for any help or advice about who I could potentially climb Rainier with. Are there climbing clubs around Seattle (or organized groups through the National Park) where I could find folks to climb with?

Hi, i am a master student of National University of Singapore. Are you now a program manager in Microsoft,Redmond? I was asked to attend a phone interview of Microsoft and could you tell me the detailed things about phone interview.And by the way, why cant I change the interview schedule because i mistaken the time table. And they gave me the Pacific Standard Time 2:45pm-3:45pm which is about 4AM-5Am in Singapore.So it is crazy ,isnt it?

after getting an email from amazon and sending the available dates for interview, in how many days we will get a reply from them….it’s been a while I didn’t get any update from them…what to do next? shall I call the number in the e-mail.

And yes, you can setup anywhere on the beach. I’d recommend above the high tide line!

Your best bet is to stop at the ranger station in Port Angeles. They’ll loan you a bear container and you can get your permit there. Second Beach is much nicer/scenic than the place with the restrooms (first beach?). Note that Second Beach does have an outhouse though. But the door didn’t work there two weekends ago :).

Very good write up. Thanks for sharing your experiences, since there really isn’t enough info out there yet on camping at La Push. Yes, I have the same question as above. Where do you pay the $5 fee? Is there a place to find (rent or buy) the bear-proof containers there? Also, if you do have the time, could you elaborate on why you chose the “Second Beach” over the $15 place with the restrooms? Thanks!

right now i am working on .net platform, is it necessary to pursue an MBA to get into PM position either at microsoft and amazon?
