Lake Washington water temp

Seattle people hate any change in the weather. In the winter they complain when it’s rainy, while I rejoice in the fresh snow in the mountains and during the summer they complain about the heat, while I rejoice in the warm water. So sure it’s been 90′F+ and you don’t have A/C (neither do I) but yesterday evening around 7pm Lake Washington was around 76′F! This morning, it had ‘cooled off’ to around 72′F and by this evening at 7pm it sure felt like it was back up to 76′F (but I was lacking my trusty thermometer).

I love Seattle but hate the weather-haters.

I love how you’re now zen with Farenheit. I have no idea what 90F is. (If a kid has a fever of 102, that’s hot, but probably less than 40C…)

I’m not that zen. I often switch my weather.com page back and forth between C and F :).

I think I take a little offense at your rain observation.

I don’t think too many long time Washingtonians complain about the rain, we’re pretty good with it as a whole. I think the problem may more lie with the transplants who, admittedly, should have a pretty good idea of what they are in for when the move here. That being said, I’d much rather have the kind of rain we have here over the torrential downpours I experienced when I lived in the “other” Washington, especially in the Summer.

Now the heat on the other hand, I’ll freely complain about :-)
