After telling my friend about how the Neon broke down yesterday on I-90 (investigation into the cause is still pending but appears to be a problem with the cooling system) he pointed me to the Green Car Co in Kirkland that sells Smart Cars and Volvo 240’s with new diesel engines. Looks like a great little car dealer perfectly suited for the green organic people in the North West!

But the smart cars are way overpriced. In Canada, the smartcars sell new from the BMW dealership for ~15K (base model). The canadian models are not road worthy, and so need to be imported and modified. After markup they cost around 25K US which is too high in my opinion.
I can’t believe that you’re still driving that Neon. For God’s sake man, buy a new car. Hey, I’ll even sell you my car if you give me a good price :-)
have you seen the information about transforming your (diesel) car to Vegetable oil!? How’s that for green http://greasecar.com
I bought a car from the Green Car Co. in Kirland. It’s a Golf TDI and is running on biodiesel (B99). I have no complaints.
I agree that the smart cars are way over-priced.
PS – MPG is 45 to 50 (sweet!!)
Biodiesel from Whole Energy out of Bellingham is (and has been for 2 yrs) $3.05 per gal
I live in Anacortes, Wa. I saw a SMART car on a drive to St.Joe’s in Bellingham. I was doing 55mph and the SMART car zipped pass me. I’m looking for mo’ info with purchase of same on my mind. However, when I go to http://greencarco.com/ I get nada. Told perhaps I misspelled the site; got the wrong address; the site is shut down; etc.,etc. You know the tune. Where is the site. I really don’t wanna drive my BUICK (yuk) to Kirkland from Anacortes just to have some salesperson assail me. GREEN CAR CO. where are youuuuuuuuuuu?
Ronald, sorry, try: http://www.thegreencarco.com/ it appears to be online, I don’t know why their other site isn’t. You can also reach them by phone at: (425) 820 – 4549.
By the way. The founder of the green car co drives a Volvo Cross Country AWD. Funny, you think they would roll something, oh I don’t know, green.
