So the Canadian Undergrad Technology Conference (CUTC) is in it's third year and has been moved off of the Waterloo campus to the International Plaza which is convenient if you live near the airport. Now I have no beefs moving it off the UW campus but please next time move it close to at least one campus so students of that campus can attend both their classes and the conference.

But really. Let's be honest. Let's just rename the conference to the Waterloo Undergrad Tech Conference and move it back home.

My other CUTC complaint is that they have a website competition and rule #5 stipulates:

The website must not be altered after the submission deadline. Failure to abide by this will constitute an automatic disqualification.

Will you guys mind if I stop updating for a week or two? :) Automatic disqualification here I come! But hey I wouldn't win anyway since I ain't no flash kiddie (Flash: 99% Bad).

Also, why doesn't UW Innovate Inc list the URLs of the 'companies' that Enterprise Co-Op is involved with?

I love my school. I really do :).

Joel On Software: I usually achieve about two or three hours a day, on average, of productive coding. From his latest, Fire and Motion.

Two to three hours a day! What a relief to find out that I might be normal!

Had an interview with USA Today this afternoon while at the mall. It's almost like old times.

Got a gym membership today. Since if I don't exercise I go crazy (at least that's my theory).

Classes this term: Math 239 and PMATH 330 (I Hate Math)

The Bulletin reports that we're getting a boot camp for entrepreneurs this spring. So should I fork over $199 to have them 'evaluate whether [I] might be ready to start [my] own ventures'? :)

The location for CUTC sucks. What were you guys thinking!?

I need a Firewire/IEEE1394 PCMCIA card. Any recommendations?

We're (Finally) back in Waterloo.

Our plane was on time but our luggage took 1.5 hours to get from the plane to carousel which was actually pretty good; other people waited up to 3 hours for their luggage.

Things got a little mob-y since 3 flights were being serviced by this one tiny carousel (the one in Winnipeg is like three times the size!) while carousels at the far end of the terminal sat idle. Yes I could bitch all night about how awful/weird the experience was but I won't so just rest assured that it was. ...This is of course a week after I tell my mom that I've never had a problem with Air Canada.

Of course we all know the solution to air travel hell: Fractional jet ownership. (Read Wired's story Hey, You're Worth It (Even Now) and you too will lust after your very own executive jet)
